the drawer!

What a beautiful day! Snow covering everything! Mother Nature is sure good at playing April Fools jokes. We thought spring was here.
With the weather being as it is, my desire to be outside has gone. I decide to stay inside and work on cleaning out the drawer.
This drawer is a drop off point for all my personal, important, don't want to lose, don't want to take the time to put where it really goes, stuff. The first thing I see is a choc. mint truffle kiss, you know the kind, with the green creamy stuff in the middle. I pick it up and eagerly open it and put it in my mouth. I enjoy the slow melt. Mmmmmm.
I find all sorts of things, chocolate bar wrappers, bank registers, bags of marbles, small toys, papers, jewelry, beaded lizards, ceramics etc. The song, Twelve Days of Christmas comes to my mind and I start singing,
" On the first day of April hmm, hmm, hmm, hmm, to me.
One choc. mint truffle kiss.

I count the other stuff and think maybe I have enough different things to finish the song.

"Two bags of marbles,
Three giant chocolate coins,
Four ceramic chocolates
Five "I Believe" pins
Six bank receipts
Seven Dagoba wraps
Eight + beaded lizards
Nine payment slips
Ten check stub booklets
Eleven misc. envelopes
Twelve + Chocolove papers.

We have a clock that plays Christmas tunes on the hour. As I was posting this, the
clock struck 11:00 and the song that played just happened to be "The Twelve Days of Christmas", honest.

New beginning?

I wanted a blog but didn't know a thing about how to create one. O.K., I'm technologically challenged. Luckily, my daughter isn't afraid to try. So I've been sitting here watching her set this up for me.
Now she's making me take the reins!

She knows so much more than I do when it comes to the technical world. She came that way. I have a photo of her as a 2 year old holding a bottle of milk in one hand and the computer mouse in the other. I remember seeing the computer screen and thinking "I've never seen that window before, how did she get there"!
